The Rap of China 2022 Shows Stellar Performance, A Testament to iQIYI’s Produce Hit Variety Shows

 

From its debut on Jun. 25 till now, iQIYI ‘s original variety show The Rap of China 2022 has achieved a content popularity index of 9297, becoming a “national hit“ per iQIYI's rating standard. VLinkege, a third-party data platform, recently released the “Top 15 Variety Shows by Viewing Index” and “Top 10 Online Variety Shows by Viewing Index” for the first half of 2022. While The Rap of China 2022 had just two episodes released, it topped both lists with a score of 82.01.

 

 

As a variety show IP that has lasted for six years, this year's The Rap of China features the top rap artists who will participate in multiple rounds of competition for the final championship.

 

Many of iQIYI’s other original variety shows also feature prominently on the VLinkege lists. For instance, The Detectives' Adventures Season 2 and l'm so into you Season 3 were also among the top 10 variety shows by viewing index.

 

iQIYI Releases Dr. Tang, Highlighting the Development and Application of the Domestic “Full Magnetic Levitation Artificial Heart"

 

On Jun. 25, the iQIYI-presented series Dr. Tang was released exclusively on iQIYI platform and till now, the content popularity index hit 7899.

 

 

Structured around 28 real heart disease cases, the show tells the story of Dr. TANG Jiayu, a cardiac surgeon who works with her team to save patients' lives through performing complex cardiac surgeries on rare conditions, with their efforts boosting the development and application the "full magnetic levitation artificial heart" technology. To ensure the medical-related details in the series are portrayed accurately, the production team worked with a team of more than 70 experts, among which was Dr. ZHENG Jun, Chief Physician of the Cardiac Surgery Department at Beijing Anzhen Hospital, who was invited to be the medical advisor for the show.

 

DAI Ying, Senior Vice President of iQIYI and Chief Producer of Dr. Tang, said the series aims to showcase the lives of medical professionals as doctors as well as human beings. The show encourages viewers of the show to learn more about cardiovascular diseases.

 

iQIYI Releases New Titles for the Summer, Showing Its Continued Strength in Developing Premium Original Content

 

iQIYI recently announced the debut of several new drama series, films, and variety shows for the summer of 2022. As the first batch of shows released from the 213 new releases announced on May 20, the new titles are closely aligned with the latest viewing trends and demonstrate iQIYI's continuous success in producing premium original content.

 

The latest summer releases span across many themes, meeting diverse viewer preferences and further enriching iQIYI's already expansive content library. iQIYI announced on Jun.30 a strategic partnership in Thailand with Advanced Info Services Plc. (AIS), Thailand’s leading Digital Life Service Provider.

 

The Chinese streamer rolls out an exciting “iQIYI VIP privilege plan” on AIS, enabling the network’s GenZ audience to enjoy unlimited, premium Asian entertainment at a more affordable rate starting from 35 baht monthly fee for AIS first time subscribers.

iQIYI Continues to Deliver Immersive Viewing Experience with Drama "The Lord of Losers" Hitting High Participation Rate

 

iQIYI announced on Jul. 5 its interactive drama series The Lord of Losers had achieved high audience participation rate. Released on Jun. 18 under iQIYI's LAUGN ON Theatre, The Lord of Losers is a sitcom about the office life of young professionals. In the interactive fifth episode "Virtual Partner," audience are invited to help make choices for the leading character as he experiences the company of the virtual character during the epidemic.

 

 

Viewers can choose the clothes for the virtual character as well as decide a major storyline. The episode has 15 optional settings with 22 achievements for the audience to accomplish in total. In addition to a wider variety of choices than existing interactive dramas, the episode has equipped each different possible ending with a unique theme song in an attempt to present more complete and immersive storytelling. The innovative features resulted in 93% audience participation rate and an average user viewing time of over 30 minutes.

The Lord of Losers marks iQIYI's latest interactive drama series with ever-evolving features, after the likes of the first interactive drama series in the industry titled His Smile in 2019, and the widely anticipated title iPartment Season 5 in 2020. Taken together, the development in interactive contents demonstrate iQIYI's commitment to leveraging technology to enhance user experience and forge greater connection between the audience and the content.
