iQIYI's Entertainment Production Management System Helps Enhance Quality and Efficiency of Drama Tiger and Crane Presented by iQIYI

On Jun. 10, the iQIYI-presented series Tiger and Crane, which recently wrapped up production, leveraged an entertainment production management system iQIYI developed throughout the show’s production process.

The system provides intelligent tools and project monitoring and management assistance, which enable different actions during the production cycle—including script processing, making plans, sending notices, and managing finances—to be merged in one integrated digital management system. In addition to digitizing information, the system updates on-site data in real time, which allow the crew to receive real-time project updates instead of receiving them a weekly basis. This in turn helps control costs, improve quality, and enhance efficiency. For instance, the script supervisor can use the system's "one-click export" feature to synchronize with post-production, which greatly reduces the work intensity of the team and saves nearly 1,500 sheets of A4 paper.

YAN Zheng, producer of Tiger and Crane, said that the production management system made project coordination, communication and management more efficient and convenient. The digitization of information allows crew members in various positions to focus more on their specific workstreams, thereby reducing communication costs. Meanwhile, the real-time synchronization of project production progress enables the producer to control the shooting progress, manage costs, and facilitate the smooth and efficient operation of the crew.

The video also inspires viewers to join force in marine protection as it shows the rebirth of coral reefs and seaweeds in an absorbing fashion.

iQIYI strongly believes in the potential of VR and augmented reality (AR) technologies and has, over the years, made substantial investments in building a VR ecosystem, and VR painting is one of the latest ways users create fully immerse experiences using the VR hardware and software iQIYI makes assessable.

Painting using VR offers a new level of creative freedom for long-time artists. Newer artists revel in the challenge of painting virtually, noting that the interactive nature of VR painting makes it an exciting creative and social experience.
