Life is A Long Quiet River Sets to Premier Online Exclusively on iQIYI
Presented by iQIYI and created by Aisini Studio, Life is A Long Quiet River, a modern family drama, is set to premiere online exclusively on iQIYI on Mar. 17, in addition to airing on Zhejiang Television and Dragon Television.

Life is A Long Quiet River is adapted from the eponymous novel by Lu Xun Literary Prize Winner XIAO Lan. As the show tells the story of family dramas over purchasing a house, it offers a realistic depiction of different emotions modern living involves, in addition to showcasing the passion with which many live their lives.
iQIYI Adds More New Productions to Its Slate of Asian Contents
At the content showcase at Hong Kong FILMART on Mar. 17, iQIYI announced two more Chinese-language original productions from Taiwan. The company also revealed a trailer for KinnPorsche The Series La Forte, iQIYI’s first original series from Thailand. The titles will be available on iQiyi International worldwide in 2022 and 2023. Romantic series Lesson in Love and Oh No! Here Comes Trouble are the two productions from Taiwan.
CHEN Michael, Senior Vice President at iQIYI, noted the significance of these new productions with regards to iQIYI’s overall content strategy: “The iQiyi International app has received continuous support from our global audiences in 2021. As of the end of last year, our international user base has grown more than 3x as compared to 2020. Specifically in Thailand, we saw an almost 700% increase. The outstanding results owed its success to the increasing popularity of Chinese content which iQiyi will commit to leading and powering in the coming year. The suspense-themed Light On theater, romance-themed Sweet On theater and comedy-themed Laugh On theater have shown great international success since launch. In 2022 and beyond, we will continue to push the boundaries of storytelling through our diversified production strategy, and double down on our vertical productions.”
Crime Series Under the Skin Airs on iQIYI
Under the Skin, a crime series presented by Linmon Pictures and co-presented by Linmon Kaixin and iQIYI, aired on iQIYI on Mar. 6. The series has achieved a content popularity index of over 8,000 since its premiere.

Under the Skin adopts an innovative narrative style as the show features 10 stories of crime where forensic sketch artist, SHEN Yi (TAN Jianci), teams up with police captain DU Cheng (JIN Shijia) to solve an array of mysteries.
iQIYI-Presented Feature Film Almost Love Premiers on May 1
On Mar. 11, iQIYI announced that Almost Love, a feature film co-presented by iQIYI Pictures and Hengye Film, is set to premiere across China on May 1.

With screenwriting and direction from the renowned director and writer LUO Luo, Almost Love tells the tale of two young people who fall in love while in school together.

Beijing Film Academy and iQIYI Jointly Organize “Light Bearer 2021”
On Mar. 3, iQIYI and the Beijing Film Academy (BFA) jointly organized Light Bearer 2021, an incubation program that aims to empower young scriptwriters. After over eight months of script solicitation and screening since June 2021, seven works were selected from a total of 94 submissions for a roadshow, where four titles were awarded prizes.
The 2021 edition of Light Bearer marks the fourth year of collaboration between iQIYI and the BFA. From its inception, the program aims to support and empower the young and creative minds in the film industry, building a platform for talents to be seen and recognized.

GONG Yu, iQIYI's founder and CEO, noted that over the years, the BFA has trained many of the exceptional artistic talents in China’s film industry. In the future, iQIYI hopes to continue its cooperation with BFA to identify and nurture more talented people and quality works.
Laugh On Launches New Dramas with Product Placements by Many Brands
As the first drama released under iQIYI’s Laugh On theater in February, the period drama comedy The Theatre Stories has become a massive hit, achieving a content popularity index of 6,845 since its premiere. The drama not only attracts a huge young audience but has also gained favor with many brands.

The brands that have collaborated with Laugh On come from a wide range of sectors from shipping, cosmetic products, personal and consumer health products, food, and others. Through effective product placements, Laugh On makes the brands and products more memorable and appealing to consumers, driving sales of the participating brands. For example, to promote BESTORE, a popular snacks brand in China, The Theatre Stories features storefronts with “BESTORE” as the name of the shop, BESTORE products packaged in period-specific packaging, and lines referencing the brands. As the creative team integrates BESTORE as an organic part of the show and its time, it helps effectively promote brand awareness.
